In this rebrand of the Woodstock Film Festival the goal is to tie back to the Woodstock area's historic status as a community for boundary-pushing young artists while modernizing the design,

















Development:


This was the first extensive branding system I've worked on. Distilling the intent of the brand into a cohesive visual system was a challenging but valuable learning experience that highlighted the importance of extensive researching and understanding of the subject.














A recurring motif in this identity system is the expansion of the two intersecting paths that make up the logo. These paths are meant to represent the Woodstock Film Festival’s mission to foster up-and coming filmmakers to connect and collaborate with one another.















































In the design of the brochure for instance I made sure to highlight my connection motif in an interactive way by placing it at the opening of the brochure and extending the pathway continuously throughout.

Designing the merch allowed me to explore expanding the logo into a pattern, as well as letting it speak for itself as a simple lockup.






































The social media applications gave me more potential for experimenting with different ways to frame the content in the shape language of the logo.
